Birmingham, Ala. - July 7, 2008 – Bright House Networks recently announced the launch of its new “Mystro Digital Navigator” System. The new Mystro Digital Navigator (MDN) provides a variety of new user friendly search options that makes navigating the program guide easier.
“These newly improved and technically enhanced features provide our subscribers with the ability to search and find the programming in a much more detailed and convenient manner” states Karen Broach, Division President Bright House Networks – Birmingham Division. “It encompasses a wealth of features and functionality, including The Program Guide (IPG), Access Menu, network Enhanced Menus, and Find Shows that make Digital Cable easier.”
From “Finding Shows” instantly to accessing your “Favorite Channels”, the new Navigator puts the best of Digital Cable at your fingertips. Among its many enhancements: easy-to-read screens, a consolidated Access Menu, and a guide to what’s on now programming sorted by category: HDTV Now, Kids Now, News & Weather Now, and others. Get ready for more features, more options, more control.
“We’re also increasing Parental Control functionality, so you can more easily protect your children from programming you don’t want them exposed to. IN-protected controls let you block by title, channel, rating, and now even by content-advisory labels, such as “Violence” or “Coarse Language” said Broach
The new Navigator makes virtually anything you want to find accessible via the “A,” “B” or “C” buttons. Subscribers will still be able to access the Interactive Guide simply by pressing the “Guide” button on your remote. Improved DVR menus will give subscribers greater options: among them, recording and saving a show or series is now easier than ever.
The “Access Menu” allows a Bright House Networks customer to find and access programs and services that they want when they want them. By pushing the magic yellow button, customers are directed to an easy to find menu that takes them to Movies on Demand, Premiums on Demand, Free on Demand (FOD), High Definition TV (HDTV) and programs in favorite customer categories like News and Weather Now, and Kids Now.
Other features available with this new Navigator system include Caller ID on screen, Call List, Customer Care, Parental Control with various settings for program access and denial, easy access to Channel Blocking PIN, Audio Options, and Digital Video Recorder Settings.
