Birmingham Channel Additions and Changes
New HD Channels Coming August 1st!
Bright House Networks is please to announce the addition of six new high definition channels to the Birmingham channel lineup. We will be adding the following HD channels on August 1, 2008:
- Discovery Channel HD - Channel 659
- TLC HD - Channel 666
- National Geographic HD - Channel 667
- Food HD - Channel 668
- HGTV HD - Channel 669
- MGM HD - Channel 684
We hope you enjoy these additional HD channels. MGM HD will be available as part of the HD Tier. The remaining channels will be available at no extra charge if you have Digital Cable with an HD SmartBox that is connected to an HDTV-capable television.
Additional August 1st Channel Moves
On August 1st, 2008, we will also be moving some channels in the Birmingham channel lineup to new locations. These channel moves include:
- QVC - moving to Channel 13. QVC will no longer also be available on Channel 77
- C-SPAN - moving from Channel 13 to Channel 5
- Fuse - relocating from Standard Tier Channel 70 to the Digital Basic Tier, Channel 135
Free On Demand Channel Changes
On July 31, 2008, Bright House Networks will be making some changes to channels in our Free On Demand lineup. These changes will help us to better align our programming offerings and make room for additional channel capacity. TBS On Demand, TNT On Demand and truTV On Demand programming will be moved to Entertainment On Demand, Channel 1054. CNN Showcase On Demand will become a part of the new News & World On Demand portal, located on Channel 1068.
